UK fans and friends,

It’s been an exceptional tour thus far and we’ve only just begun. It’s been an honest pleasure playing in front of new faces. With that being said, I get a lot of questions about whether or not you guys can meet us after shows. The answer is absolutely YES. I know I haven’t been that great about it in the past, as I’ve tended to be rather moody after I’ve often off stage….but on this tour I’ve come outside after the show every night and will continue to do so and I will stay and hang out as long as you guys will have me.

You guys are the reason I, and we, exist and we thank you. I’m inspired by you greatly.

Sometimes, if you’re lucky enough, you may have a real life connection with one of your favorite songs and end up living vicariously through it. Today I had my moment with “A Long December” by Counting Crows. “A long December, and there’s reason to believe maybe this year will be better than the last.” Happy New Year everyone. Your mission: Be a better version of the person you already are.

THE BRIAN DALES STARTER PACK.

Merry Christmakkuh everyone! I created a little Tumblr blog today. I know I was always against one of these things, but lately I’ve wanted a place to share my random thoughts. In the spirit of the holidays (and my little brother Griffin watching The OC season 1 in the next room), I decided to make my very own “Brian Dales Starter Pack.” Future girlfriends, this is what I’m gonna be getting you for Christmas.

A “Brian Dales Starter Pack” includes the following:

-Two of the most influential albums on my life, Bruce Springsteen’s Born To Run and The Format’s Dog Problems.

-My two favorite movies, The Shawshank Redemption (“Get Busy Living or Get Busy Dying”) and The Usual Suspects.

-And two of my favorite books, “On The Road” by Jack Kerouac and “The Amazing of Kavalier and Clay” by Michael Chabon (now my other favorite book is actually The Great Gatsby, but in the spirit of Seth Cohen I figured I’d keep one similarity in our starter packs, and this Michael Chabon novel is phenomenal.)
